Both of us have many varied tasks, however this is how each of us may be able to serve you specifically:

Cassie – Front Desk Administrator/Insurance Manager

I graduated from Portland Community College Dental Assisting program as a Certified Dental Assistant and worked here for many years as a Chairside Dental Assistant. This combined with my administrative experience, has taught me the ins and outs of insurance billing. I am happy to help you with any questions or issues regarding insurance.

Sanna – Front Desk Administrator/Accounts Manager

I have varied administrative, secretarial and educational experience. When the need arises, I am available to review our financial policies and help you manage your account payment options.

Aline – Dental Hygienist

I attended Oregon State University for 2 years and was then admitted to the OHSU Dental Hygiene program, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. I continue to attend conferences and seminars related to the field of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene in order to stay current with new information. I have been a practicing Dental Hygienist since 1982, working in several different dental practice settings. I have been associated with Dr. Jarvis for over 25 years.

I firmly believe that preventative measures are essential in maintaining good health. Numerous studies show that oral disease has a direct impact on our overall well being. I enjoy working with patients to educate them about this connection and provide each of them with the tools and techniques to maintain a healthy oral environment. I strive to motivate patients to incorporate good oral hygiene techniques and dietary choices into their daily lives. I provide professional cleanings and periodontal therapy. I also gather information through x-rays, periodontal probing and oral cancer screenings for Drs. Jarvis and Goldwyn to assist them in properly diagnosing and treatment planning for each patient.

What I also find rewarding as a Dental Hygienist is the opportunity to get to know each and every patient on a personal level. My many years working at this practice has allowed me to form many close bonds with our patients and I look forward to coming to work each day.

I have been married to my husband, Rob for over 30 years and we have 2 wonderful daughters. My husband and I are both native Oregonians and we both have large families in the area. We greatly enjoy the outdoors, spending our free time hiking, back packing and road cycling as well as attending Oregon State football and baseball games (GO BEAVS). I also am an avid reader and gardener.

Carolyn – Dental Hygienist

I grew up in the neighborhood, attending Wilson High School then Portland Community College, Linfield College and the University of Oregon. I graduated with An Associates Degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene and Bachelor of Arts Degree in French. I have worked in the Dental Hygiene field since 1980 and with Dr. Jarvis since 1987. I attend numerous continuing education courses on a variety of subjects each year including a monthly Dental Hygiene study club.

As a Dental Hygienist, my responsibility is to help our patients become as healthy as can be and to maintain optimum oral health through preventative, therapeutic and educational services. By listening to the patient, recording observations, taking films and charting findings, I help provide information for Drs. Jarvis and Goldwyn so they can make a diagnosis and provide a treatment plan for each patient. My treatment of the patient involves scaling, polishing and applying fluoride to the teeth.

We discuss bleaching, restorative and specialist options as questions and concerns come up. Also, it is important for our patients to be well informed about dental disease and how it can be arrested through individual and professional care. We take time to make sure each patient is encouraged, shown techniques, and the best recommendations are made concerning their personal oral hygiene. I enjoy working together with people and helping them become as healthy as they can be. Attractive smiles are contagious!

I’ve been married for 33 years to my husband Doug. Together we have raised three active sons and two Golden Retrievers. I enjoy an active lifestyle of hiking, backpacking kayaking, golfing, snowshoeing, cooking and yoga. I’m an avid fan of the Oregon Ducks, Portland Trailblazers and Portland Timbers.

I’ve developed many friendships with our patients over the years. I look forward to meeting and learning about you!

Lauren – Dental Assistant

I have worked both fields over the years and have been with Dr. Jarvis since 1992. I am X-ray Certified, Oral Surgery Assistant Certified and CPR Certified.
