Meet the Team

Cassie and Sanna – Front Desk Administrators – welcome you to Southwest Portland Dental! Our combined dental experience at Southwest Portland Dental is over 50 years … and we still like each other!

We will be the first people you will meet when you come into our office, and we look forward to seeing you. If you are seeking to establish as a new patient, we will be able to assist you in the process of transferring your records to our office. We also are happy to answer any questions you may have about our practice.

When you call, one of us will do our best to effectively and efficiently field your questions and/or requests. We both can help you with appointments and billing questions. We want to be your choice for dentist in Portland, OR!

Both of us have many varied tasks, however this is how each of us may be able to serve you specifically:

Cassie – Front Desk Administrator/Insurance Manager

I graduated from Portland Community College Dental Assisting program as a Certified Dental Assistant and worked here for many years as a Chairside Dental Assistant. This combined with my administrative experience, has taught me the ins and outs of insurance billing. I am happy to help you with any questions or issues regarding insurance.

Sanna – Front Desk Administrator/Accounts Manager

I have varied administrative, secretarial and educational experience. When the need arises, I am available to review our financial policies and help you manage your account payment options.

Brook Bio Pic

Brooklyn – Front Desk Administrator

Tamara – Dental Hygienist

I have been a registered dental hygienist since 2011. I received my education in dental hygiene from West Los Angeles College. I love building long-term relationships with patients and take pride in delivering meticulous dental care with a smile. I am so excited to be a part of the fantastic dental team here at Southwest Portland Dental.

We are so excited to call Oregon our home - me, my husband Jonathan and our daughter Cady are originally from southern California. It was our goal to make our forever home in Portland and we are happy to have achieved that. We also love backpacking! In our spare time, you will find us out on trails soaking up all the nature that the beautiful PNW has to offer.

I am excited to be part of the extraordinary team at Southwest Portland Dental.  I worked as a dental assistant prior to graduating from PCC's Registered Dental Hygiene program. I am looking forward to providing our patients with exceptional care in dental hygiene and oral hygiene instruction. I take pride in accomplishing thorough, and comfortable care.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike, and our dog, Bodhi.  When I'm not in the office, you may run into me walking my dog, playing tennis, or exploring Portland's food scene.

Emma - dental assistant

I’m the newest member to the office and so excited to be here! Though I grew up two hours away in tiny Goldendale, WA. I moved to Portland after living and working in Utah as an endodontic assistant helping with two years of root canals. I’ve never lived in Portland but moving here felt like coming home. I love Oregon!

When I’m not at work I enjoy cooking (but not washing dishes), reading in my comfy chair, trying (and failing) to keep my many plants alive, and crocheting while watching scary movies!

I was born in Wisconsin and moved to Oregon with my family when I was almost six. My siblings and I were raised in Newberg, Oregon. After graduating high school, my life went in many different directions. My employment ranged from fast food, auto parts, preschool owner/operator, and baker/cake decorator. After going to school for marketing and management and not really liking it, I went back to school at 40 years old for dental assisting. I loved it. I obtained my EFDA certificate which allows me to help the doctor with so many additional procedures. I am able to help with services like making temporary crowns and fillings and child cleanings. I continued to go to classes to get more certificates like sealant placement, cord packing, and soft relines.

My interests include most all things. I enjoy cooking, yard work, cars, hiking, college football, hockey, and any kind of craft. With almost anything, I can make something out of nothing. I am the mother of three amazing adult children. My two oldest have provided me with eight grandchildren. Ask to see what socks I have on the next time you come in!
